Just when we think the Black Friday sales can't get any better, Cyber Monday deals come along and knock us off our feet.

Cyber Monday officially kicks off today, and we're already seeing some major savings from the likes of Amazon, Boots, John Lewis, & Other Stories and many more.

It doesn't come as a surprise, then, that previous years have seen almost double the number of discounts on fashion and footwear on Cyber Monday compared to Black Friday. So whether you're shopping for brilliant Christmas gifts, or just, you know, some seriously good gifts to self, there's no doubt that these last chance deals are worth your attention.

HOW TO GET THE BEST DEALS ON CYBER MONDAY

“If you spot what you want with ‘bargain’ price tag, plug the details into a shopping comparison site like Idealo or PriceSpy to check you’ve bagged the best price, or with Amazon, its own price tracker camelcamelcamel.com/ number crunches prices all year so you’ll know if today’s deal really is the best price," advises Personal Finance Expert Sue Hayward.

If you've waited for the Cyber Monday sales, chances are you're well practiced in patience, so pay caution on the day and don't just pounce on the first discount you see.

Luckily, though, our editors will be regularly keeping you up to speed with the biggest and best savings throughout Cyber Weekend, and sharing them on this page. So be sure to bookmark this article and check back for a regular briefing on the very best Cyber Monday bargains throughout the day.

“The way you pay can boost your rights," Sue adds. "If you’re buying something over £100, paying by credit card means you can tap up your card company for a refund if the company goes bust or items are faulty and the company won’t play ball.  Debit card payment offers protection under the ‘Chargeback’ scheme but it’s a voluntary scheme. Never ever pay by bank transfer, however convincing the seller’s excuse."

Remember: set yourself a budget (and stick to it), only buy what you can afford, and never buy something that you wouldn't want at full price anyway.

HOW IS CYBER MONDAY DIFFERENT FROM BLACK FRIDAY?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday used to be distinctly different, in that Black Friday was typically reserved for in-store shopping (remember all those 6am queues?), and Cyber Monday was its e-commerce equivalent.

Now, though, as most people turn to shopping solely online, the two days have become more interchangeable, with most retailers now offering a whole weekend of deals (hence nevada state bank mesquite nv you're probably seeing the term Cyber Weekend everywhere), as opposed to just one day of deals.

That doesn't mean that Cyber Monday isn't worth getting excited about, though.

Historically, Cyber Monday offers better deals than Black Friday, with retailers keen to see out the last of their pre-Christmas sales with pizzaz.

There's also the fact that shoppers tend to spend more in the Cyber Monday sales, with research from Adobe's yearly shopping insights report finding that retailers reported a landmark $10.8 billion in overall revenue on Cyber Monday versus Black Friday's $9.0 billion last year. With that in mind, brands are more likely to come down on price on Cyber Monday if they know that we customers are willing to spend more money.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF SHOPPING ON CYBER MONDAY?

Aside from the discover savings account 150 bonus – i.e. shopping your favorite brands for a fraction of their original price – there are many benefits of shopping on Cyber Monday.

Firstly, there's the fact that some retailers tend to save their biggest and best discounts until the final day of Cyber Weekend. Why? Because the incentive of the sales may have worn off for some customers, meaning retailers will want to up the stakes in an attempt to make as many sales as possible before the offers begin to disappear. (And disappear they will, so be sure to wells fargo logo history to checkout as early as possible on Monday.)

There's also the very practical benefit of waiting, rather than blowing your whole Cyber Weekend budget on the first day. Saving your spending until Cyber Monday allows you to mull over your purchases; ensuring you only spend money on something you really want, rather impulse buying a number of things for the sake of it.

Make a list, tally up the Christmas gifts for her and Christmas gifts for men that you want to buy, do your research into the best hair dryers or best straighteners so you know which ones you want to get and then prepare to pounce on the best Cyber Monday deals when they drop. With stock levels already running low, these deals will only be around 'while stocks last' - which doesn't look like long to us.

Home Bargains selling £3 Christmas Eve boxes containing loads of gifts for kids

Christmas Eve boxes are a great way to get little ones in the mood for the big day, but with so many presents on Christmas Day, it's best not to spend a fortune for the night before.

So it's no surprise that parents are going mad for Home Bargain's Christmas Eve boxes, which are packed with festive treats for little ones, and cost just £2.99.

After spotting the boxes in Home Bargains, one mum shared photos of her find on Facebookwith the post having since amassed over 4,000 likes and almost 2,000 comments.

Talking about what's inside the box, she also added, it "contains Christmas story book, letter from Santa, door hook, stickers and cookies! Think it's a fab price".

Originally shared on Facebook page Extreme Bargaining and Coupons UK, it was then picked up by The Sun.

However, the popularity of the box has caused some shoppers to stress that there may not be any left for them, commenting "We need a trip to Home Bargains but quickly, before the other 1.8k people get there", with another parent saying they would be "getting them all".

Elsewhere online you can expect to pay a lot more for a similar item, with Amazon selling beautiful pre-filled handmade wooden versions - albeit for £28.99.

However, you could certainly use them again and again next year, with the box coming complete with a pillow case, DVD, Hot chocolate, sweets and games.

You can also personalise the box so that the label it comes with has your little ones name on.

Meanwhile at John Lewis, a box alone costs £22, coming with nothing inside, and looking very similar to Home Bargain's version.

Brooke’s Bargains: Gift Card Bargains — Do They Exist?

Written by Brooke Wagner

DENVER (CBS4) – I understand why many people enjoy giving and receiving gift cards. They offer a simple way to give someone on your list exactly what they want because they can pick it out.

READ MORE: Aurora Mother Whose Child Was Killed in 1995 Shooting Disturbed, Tired of Youth Violence After 5 Shot Over The Weekend

I know lots of people who adore them, especially for teens. Personally, I struggle with gift cards. They stress me out because I sometimes forget to use them, forget I have them, forget to bring them with me, or just can’t find anything I need at that particular store.

Absolutely, it is the thought that counts. So make sure you put some thought into your card selection.

Here are some guidelines for giving someone a gift card:

— Make sure it’s for a store, goods, or services they consistently use or a store they frequent. If I’ve heard a person on my list talking about how much he or she loves Acme’s Widgets and can’t get enough of them, then Acme’s it is. Keep your ears open for hints, just like you would with any other gift. Gift cards shouldn’t be a lazy way out. Forbes estimates there are $60 billion in unused gift cards floating around in the United States, so don’t let the person you care about become a statistic.

— Take the time to think about the person’s situation. Do you know they’ve been having a rough time financially? How about a grocery or Target gift card they can use for household needs? Is it getting tough to afford the kids’ sports? How about a sporting goods card?

— Make sure you write the amount on the card and verify with the store that it doesn’t have an expiration date.

I’m not an expert, but I spoke with someone who is. Liz Luck with CardCash.com, which buys and sells gift cards at a discount, told me the economy has really changed the type of gift cards on Santa’s list. Here are the most requested, popular gift cards on the site:

Amazon
Apple
Best Buy
Gas Cards
Home Depot
McDonald’s
Sears
Target
T.J. Maxx
Walmart

Put Some Extra Thought Into The Gift Card You Pick:

READ MORE: CBS4 Fan Poll: What chances do you give Denver at K.C. next week?

Below are the ones most frequently sold to CardCash.com, meaning folks are trying to get rid of them and get cash in return (list provided by CardCash.com):

1. Spas — In this economy, people are not looking for luxury treatments and they would rather have cash to they sell those gift cards.

2. Airlines — With restrictions and baggage prices, people are not buying tickets from the airlines directly as much. They can get better cash value selling their airline gift cards and then purchase tickets from cheaper online travel sites.

3. Barnes and Noble — Many people are shifting towards downloading e-books on their iPad or Kindle. Therefore, people would rather have cash and use the cash to buy digital books from Amazon or iTunes at a cheaper price.

4. High-end retailers such as Brooks Brothers and Coach — Consumers would rather get cash and get more for their money somewhere else.

5. Seasonal merchants such as Sunglass Hut — Less desirable gifts during the winter months and many people lose the gift card if they hold on to it until the summer, so they sell to CardCash.

Switching gears a bit, Luck mentioned another new trend in this economy. It seems people are buying gift cards (sites like hers offer up to 35 percent off face value) then “saving” for a large purchase. So if a person spends $40 for a $50 gift card to Acme’s, they’ll save an additional $10 off Acme’s price.

One customer, Dave Orinski, said he uses gift cards to save.

“When I decide that I will soon need something new, like a TV from Best Buy, for example, every week I buy a couple of discounted gift cards and put them away in a drawer,” Orinski said. “Because most gift cards never expire, it allows me to budget my savings over the course of a couple of months, save money on the gift cards, and then gives me ample time to shop around for the best prices.'”

By the way, if you do choose to sell your card to a gift card sales/exchange site, you can expect to get paid for somewhere around 80 percent of the card’s face value, or that amount toward a card exchange. If you want to buy someone else’s discounted gift card, you can get up to 35 percent off the face value. CardCash buys the unwanted cards from individuals, verifies them, then sells them at a discount.

Please feel free to comment with your gift card tips or experiences. Happy Holidays!

Mum slams 'offensive' Home Bargains Christmas Jumper - but not everyone agrees

A mum has hit out at Home Bargains over one of its Christmas jumpers - deeming it 'offensive&apos.

Many people are getting their festive jumpers ready now that December is approaching.

However, the mum wasn't amused when she saw one that retailer Home Bargains had on sale.

The mum took to Mumsnet to ask if she was being 'unreasonable' for finding the jumper offensive, according to EdinburghLive.

The jumper in question has a picture of a melted snowman on it, with the slogan: 'I'm having a meltdown&apos.

Along with posting the photo of the knitwear, she wrote: "I seen this when I was in store today and it just didn't sit right with me. I do have a neurodiverse DD so that might be colouring my view slightly."

According to autism.org.uk, "a meltdown is an intense response to an overwhelming situation. It happens when someone becomes completely overwhelmed by their current situation and temporarily loses control of their behaviour".

Her post sparked a debate on Mumsnet with some agreeing it was offensive, while others claimed it is just a bit of fun.

"I don't see anything wrong with it to be honest, just a bit of humour" one person wrote.

While another added: "Literally anyone and everyone can have a meltdown. Snowmen included. I like it."

The original poster then added: "I associate meltdown with autism but happy to accept that that's just me"

However, others backed the mum up, as one commented: "I'd say don't wear it unless you're ND. I'm autistic."

A second added: "Not just you op but a lot of people in here are very ableist, perhaps without realising. It's an awful jumper that makes light of being autistic."

The thread then turned into a discussion as to whether the term 'meltdown'' was exclusively related to autistic people.

One asked: "Is the expression 'having a meltdown' particularly related to autism? I had no idea. I thought it was a widely used expression."

Someone replied, explaining: "The issue is that the language has been appropriated by the NT community to mean a tantrum, and so now, the neurodiverse community have no language that expresses the biological phenomena that they actually experience during a 'meltdown&apos.

"And worse, when a ND person does experience a 'meltdown' it’s conflated with tantrum and the ND person is not only not offered the correct support they are often judged and treated appallingly for 'misbehaving&apos."

Cyber Monday 2021 has officially landed, with some of the best deals we've seen all Cyber weekend. Remember: today's your last chance to shop some major deals, so don't miss out on the savings.

Everything you need to know about Cyber Monday

Now, though, as most people turn to shopping solely online, the two days have become more interchangeable, with most retailers now offering a whole weekend of deals (hence why you're probably seeing the term Cyber Weekend everywhere), as opposed to just one day of deals.

Aside from the obvious – i.e. shopping your favorite brands for a fraction of their original price – there are many benefits of shopping on Cyber Monday.

(And disappear they will, so be sure to head to checkout as early as possible on Monday.)

Mum creates colourful meditation garden with Shein and Home Bargains finds

A mum-of-three created her own tranquil garden after having a dream about the space she ended up building.

And Donna Crilly, an interior design student with three sons aged 29, 27 and 27, picked up bargains from the likes of Shein, Home Bargains and Facebook Marketplace.

The 47-year-old from Armagh, Northern Ireland, told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: "I wanted to create a garden that felt like my own space, a garden of beauty and joy where I could escape to, meditate, listen and heal.

"Before I did any work on the garden it was a fairly plain space with grass and a nondescript brown shed, so I have worked hard to make it a unique space that I gravitate towards as we have done a lot of work on the house overall.

Mum creates colourful meditation garden

"I dreamt one night about a turquoise shed and couldn’t get it out of my head so I decided to go with a Triadic colour scheme of turquoise, pink and yellow whilst using the black to create balance and harmony.

"Overall the project took about three weeks with me painting a little bit every day. As I painted I also shopped for my bargains to complement the colour scheme.

"Where possible I got bargains from discount stores and Facebook Marketplace while investing in the paving stones as I want them to last.

"On Facebook Marketplace I was lucky enough to pick up the mirror and corner stand for just £10 each. I also had a look at Boohoo Interiors and got the Love sign for £24.99. At Get Kooky I picked up the vinyl for £28.

"For this space I was able to reuse my Perspex table which I already had, and I picked up some Frenchic paint from the Al Fresco range from a local paint shop called PV Macari Interiors for £24.99.

The garden

"I got the cushions from Shein and they were only £2 or £3 each, and the pots are all from Home Bargains for between £1 and £4.

"Where possible, I upcycled supplies. For example, the table used to belong to my son and I placed it behind the daybed to create a display area.

"With the Frenchic Al Fresco paint, I painted the mirror and corner stand to make them suitable for remaining outside. I spend my spare time upcycling furniture and studying interior design so I like to transform furniture and give it new life.

"I used the vinyl to cover the hostess trolley, which I really love and it is so handy for storage and keeping drinks on when I am outside in the afternoon or evening for a few hours.

The garden

"A few items were more expensive but I invested in them, for example I got a water feature which is a silver sphere design for £350 which acts as the focal point for the garden. The sound of the water is so peaceful.

"The paving stones cost £1,200 and came from a local firm called Acheson and Glover. However we saved on costs by doing all of the work ourselves. Now my favourite thing to do is potter in the garden. It fills me with calm, gratitude and joy every time I look out at it."

Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said: "Donna’s transformation is truly striking. She has turned a bare garden into a colourful and relaxing space with the help of some paint and bargain decor.

"Al Fresco is an increasingly popular Frenchic range for outdoor projects, with plenty of people using it for garden makeovers or giving their front door a unique look.

"Turquoise and pink go well together as the colour scheme for many different rooms, and as the weather gets hotter year on year more people are recreating a beach vibe in their gardens, particularly with furniture and sheds.

"Adding accent colours such as yellow or orange can give the space a boost of energy, and to balance it out a few darker tones can prevent it from looking too chaotic or overwhelming."

Mum slams 'offensive' Home Bargains Christmas Jumper - but not everyone agrees

A mum has hit out at Home Bargains over one of its Christmas jumpers - deeming it 'offensive'.

The jumper in question has a picture of a melted snowman on it, with the slogan: 'I'm having a meltdown'.

Someone replied, explaining: "The issue is that the language has been appropriated by the NT community to mean a tantrum, and so now, the neurodiverse community have no language that expresses the biological phenomena that they actually experience during a 'meltdown'.

"And worse, when a ND person does experience a 'meltdown' it’s conflated with tantrum and the ND person is not only not offered the correct support they are often judged and treated appallingly for 'misbehaving'."
